THE CONCEPT
As a service to its customers, Birmingham Barb Tape Ltd have developed a simple and quick system to deploy and uplift Barbed Tape Concertina(BTC).
FEATURES

No need to man-handle coils to site and drag coils along ground surface.

Only one join required every 50-70 metres.

Safer system, avoids injuries to personnel.

Faster installation means less personnel required, less exposure to enemy, protection achieved sooner.
Note: No additional packing space required for barrow kit as it fits inside coil bundle.
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
Usually BTC is supplied in bundles / pallets of 50 coils, 980mm diameter x 10 metre each. Coil specification as per NATO Stock No. 5660-99-458-7414.
Birmingham Barbed Tape now offer the same amount of concertina coil but supplied as 10 x 50 metre coils and inside each bundle is included a barrier dispenser with all equipment necessary to install the BTC.
IMPORTANT - USE ONLY BBT REINFORCED BARBED TAPE - PROVIDES DOUBLE THE RESISTANCE

Remove barrow from inside bundle
|
Unfold barrow
|
Place 1 x 50 metre coil (approx 65kgs) onto barrow and wheel barrier to installation site.

Cut retaining wire off to free coil
|
Secure coil to ground with peg
supplied
|
Draw barrier along barrier line, coil deploys at walking pace. Whilst this is a one man operation, if the coils have been tightly compressed a second person may assist in paying-out the coil evenly
